Yea, that about sums it up.  Since coming out of the womb,i have been enamored and obsessed with all things food related. being an avid cook, baker, culinary columnist and molecular gastronomy experimentation geek, has shown me that there is so much more to our food culture, and eating habits than meets the eye.  My clear, concise  young perspective and fresh opinions and recipes will hopefully inspire and enlighten you to try something new or put a creative spin on a classic favorite.  In this blog i hope to explore the many sides of the food, food culture, recipe development, and personal culinary agenda while also making you laugh your ass off.  To me cooking is not just a hobby, it’s a lifestyle and obsession… like a drug addiction, but better!  Sit back, relax, and get your forks out, because there is a lot of eating to do.

I currently reside in a schoolhouse loft in Morgantown WV, with my cat Rocco and hundreds of cookbooks.  I have only two culinary issues:  Raw tomato on sandwiches, and strange smelling overcooked mushrooms.  My culinary goal for 2009 is to read On Food and Cooking: The Science and Lore of the Kitchen, by Harold Mcgee I can be reached by emaling joel@joelhblog.com
